What is the Member Advisory Committee?
The VillageCareMAX Member Advisory Committee is composed of a group of VillageCareMAX members that represent our diverse population and needs. They come together to provide advice, opinions, raise issues, and suggest solutions with the purpose of improving all VillageCareMAX Members' experience. They meet with representatives from all departments within VillageCareMAX, including Member Services, Enrollment and Eligibility, Grievance and Appeals, Case Management, Provider Relations, and the Quality Department.
Frequency
The Committee meets quarterly. To encourage the participation of our diverse population and accommodate cultural and linguistic needs, meetings will be held on a rotating basis in each borough of the VillageCareMAX service areas.
Meetings for 2026 are tentatively scheduled for:
- April 6, 2026 (The Bronx)
- June 16, 2026 (The Bronx)
- September 15, 2026 (The Bronx)
- December 15, 2026 (The Bronx)
Agenda
Items identified by VillageCareMAX leadership staff where issues have been identified or where participant input/feedback is desired. The committee members will be polled before each meeting to ask for agenda items.
- Member experience initiatives
- Enrollment/disenrollment information
- Call center (volume and cultural and linguistic competence)
- Grievances and appeals updates
- Medication adherence
- Annual preventive care
- Member satisfaction surveys
- Filling prescriptions for 90 or 100 days’ supply
- Mail order benefit review
- Health equity for underserved enrollee population
